PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To quickly cope with a communication failure of a signal for use in automatic exposure control.SOLUTION: A wireless communication part of an electronic cassette 11 exchanges an AEC (Automatic Exposure Control) signal including an irradiation stop signal for stopping irradiation of X-rays by an X-ray source 10 with a radio communication part 25 of a controller 12. A wired communication part of the electronic cassette 11 and a wired communication part 26 of the controller 12 are connected by a cable, and even when X-ray image data is communicated in a wired manner between the communication parts, the AEC signal is wirelessly transmitted at all times. In wired communication, disconnection of the cable or a contact defect of a connector has to be checked or the operation of a repeater such as a hub has to be checked in order to find a cause of a communication failure, whereas in wireless communication, a cause of a communication failure is easily identified only by checking the operation of the wireless communication part 25 and the wireless communication part, and recovery from a communication failure can be quickly performed.COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT【課題】自動露出制御用の信号の通信障害に迅速に対処する。【解決手段】電子カセッテ11の無線通信部は、X線源10によるX線の照射を停止させるための照射停止信号を含むAEC用の信号を、制御装置12の無線通信部25との間で遣り取りする。電子カセッテ11の有線通信部と制御装置12の有線通信部26がケーブル接続され、これら通信部間でX線画像データが有線通信される場合も、AEC用の信号は常に無線通信される。有線通信では通信障害の原因を探るためケーブルの断線やコネクタの接触不良のチェック、あるいはハブ等の中継装置の動作チェックも行わなければならないが、無線通信では無線通信部25と無線通信部の動作チェックのみで簡単に通信障害の原因を特定することができ、速やかに通信障害から復帰することもできる。【選択図】図2
