A use of an elongate shroud (1) is disclosed. The elongate shroud may be use to protect an in-ground sprinkler system. The elongate shroud includes an above ground portion (A) and a below ground engaging portion (B). A height management feature, such as a line (19), is formed in the shroud between the above (A) and below (B) ground portions which is configured to indicate a level to which the below ground engaging portion (B) is to be buried into the ground to provide stability, in use, of the above ground portion (A). The length of the above ground portion (A) is the same as, or greater than, the length that the below ground engaging portion (B) extends below the height management feature.
