The present invention relates to a composition comprising sesquiterpene as an active ingredient for preventing or treating memory, cognition or learning disabilities. The sesquiterpene according to the present invention has activity of inhibiting acetylcholinesterase, alleviates weakened behavioral change ability and has an effect of alleviating forgetfulness, thereby being helpfully used in treating or preventing memory, cognition or learning disabilities by remarkably alleviating memory, cognition or learning disabilities.본 발명은 세스퀴터핀 (sesquiterpene)을 유효성분으로 포함하는, 기억, 인지 또는 학습장애의 예방 또는 치료용 조성물에 관한 것이다. 본 발명에 따른 세스퀴터핀은 아세틸콜린에스테라제를 저해하는 활성이 있고, 감퇴된 행동변경능력을 완화시키며, 건망증 완화의 효과가 있는바, 기억, 인지 또는 학습장애를 현저하게 개선할 수 있으므로 기억, 인지 또는 학습장애의 치료 또는 예방에 유용하게 사용될 수 있다.
