A meridian status detection apparatus includes a main device and an electrode module. The main device has a waveform generation unit for providing a variable voltage and a detecting current and a control unit for controlling the variable voltage to fall in a first predetermined range and controlling the detecting current to fall in a second predetermined range. The variable voltage includes a floating reference voltage. The electrode module electrically connects the main device and includes a first electrode and a second electrode. Therein, the first electrode is capable of contacting a skin of a subject and the second electrode is capable of contacting an acupoint of the subject to obtain a detecting value.
