PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reef for protection and caring of fries, protecting and caring sedentary fries of Epinephelus akaara until the period they are not eaten by large fish, compact, having excellent installation workability, and supplying safe prey field to the fries, promoting growth of the fry to improve survival rate of discharged fry and increase the fishing, and using thinning to help operation and maintenance and revival of a forest.SOLUTION: The reef for protection and caring of fries includes: an outer building frame framed like a hexahedron by structural material such as steel; an inner building frame formed inside (in the central part) of the outer building frame like a square by structural material and connected to the outer building frame by a horizontal lumber; a caring partition disposed inside the inner building frame and having a fish nest part and/or feed proliferation part; a feed culture material disposed in a protection partition between the inside of the outer building frame and the inner building frame; and a protector which is stretched or fixed to the respective six planes of the outer building frame or the inner building frame and formed by mesh opening net body or a lattice not allowing large fish to pass.
