PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an automatic cardiopulmonary resuscitator capable of appropriately pressing a head pad of an impact hammer to the chest of a patient irrespective of the patient's posture, and transmitting compression force by the impact hammer to the patient efficiently.SOLUTION: An automatic cardiopulmonary resuscitator 100 for performing chest compression for a patient includes an impact hammer 121 having a rod 121a and a head pad 121b provided at the tip of the rod, and a lifting/lowering mechanism 122 for causing the impact hammer to make a vertical reciprocating motion. The head pad includes an upper opening part 51 and a fitting part 52 communicated with the upper opening part, which fits into the tip of the rod.
