PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a leaf vegetable conveying apparatus capable of aligning positions of stock bases with a simple work regardless of the shape and length of roots, and to provide a root cutter capable of accurately cutting roots of leaf vegetables by using the conveying apparatus.SOLUTION: In a conveying apparatus 2 for conveying leaf vegetables 9 placed in a right angle direction to a conveyance direction, a first conveyor 11 for placing leaf blade parts 9a of the leaf vegetables 9, and a second conveyor 12 for placing stalks parts 9b of the leaf vegetables 9 are arranged in parallel. An endless belt 13 of the first conveyor 11 and an endless belt 14 of the second conveyor 12 move at the same speed in the conveyance direction, and an interval between the first conveyor 11 and the second conveyor 12 becomes gradually narrow toward a conveyance direction downstream side. There is arranged a positioning member 21 of the second conveyor 12, moving at the same speed in parallel to the endless belt 14 of the second conveyor 12 along an opposite side to a first conveyor 11 side, and limiting the movement of the leaf vegetables 9.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2COPYRIGHT: (C)2019,JPO&INPIT【課題】根部の形状や長さにかかわらず、簡易な作業で株元の位置を揃えることができる葉菜の搬送装置、および、その搬送装置を用いて葉菜の根切りが精度よく行える根切り装置を提供する。【解決手段】搬送方向に対して直角方向に載置された葉菜9を搬送する搬送装置2は、葉菜9の葉身部9aを載置する第1のコンベア11と、葉菜9の葉柄部9bを載置する第2のコンベア12とが並列配置され、第1のコンベア11の無端帯13と第2のコンベア12の無端帯14とは搬送方向に同速度で移動し、第1のコンベア11と第2のコンベア12との間隔が、搬送方向下流側に向かって徐々に狭くなり、第2のコンベア12の、第1のコンベア11側とは反対側の側方に沿って、第2のコンベア12の無端帯14と平行且つ同速度で移動し、葉菜9の移動を制限する位置決め部材21が配置されている。【選択図】図2
