PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bioabsorbable knit for hernia repair and a manufacturing method thereof. The present invention is a bioabsorbable artificial porous knit comprising an array of threads of bioabsorbable biocompatible material defining at least two sides of the knit. With respect to the knit, the knit is provided on one of its sides with barbs projecting outwardly from the one side, and each thread of the array defining its two sides is double. The barbs are formed by cutting the loop protruding outward from one side surface of the knit through melting. The invention further relates to a method of manufacturing such a knit.
