The present disclosure relates to an aqueous composition comprising a hydroxypropyl methylcellulose acetate succinate (HPMCAS) polymer dispersed in water, wherein the dispersed polymer is partially neutralized with at least one alkaline material. The present disclosure also relates to a composition for use in a method of making a capsule shell imparted with bulk enteric properties.
