PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a composition for hair giving good conditioning effect, especially slipperiness and moistness even to damaged hair.SOLUTION: The composition for hair comprises (A) a cationic surfactant having a specific structure containing a hydroxyalkyl group, (B) a higher alcohol and (C) an oily component as essential components and optionally further comprises (D) a silicone oil and (E) a polyhydric alcohol.
