A method for measuring the primary beam aperture involves the stages, which provide mounting the ultrasonic applicator with one or more ultrasonic transducer elements not far from the tissue of interest, exciting at least one transducer element by an excitation signal, controlling the effect of the excitation stage by means of the images, controlling the primary beam aperture, displacing or turning the ultrasonic applicator to enable the therapy covering substantially various tissue regions for treating various tissue regions.EFFECT: using the invention enables the accurate adjustment of the therapeutic beam for conducting therapy of prostates of various sizes and shapes, avoiding the involvement of such critical structures, as the rectal wall and nerve ganglia.18 cl, 7 d
