The invention provides non-aqueous compositions comprising film forming polymers comprising repeating units derived from: (a) at least one monomer comprising at least one functionalized or unfunctionalized acryloyl moiety and at least one lactam moiety； (b) at least one monomer selected from the group consisting of functionalized and unfunctionalized C1-C7 alkyl (alk)acrylates, C1-C7 alkyl (alk)acrylamides, and combinations thereof； and (c) at least one monomer selected from the group consisting of functionalized and unfunctionalized C8-C60 alkyl (alk)acrylates, C8-C60 (alk)alkyl acrylamides, and combinations thereof. The invention further provides applications of these compositions in various industrial arts, particularly in personal care.
