The weighting wheel in accordance with the invention is coaxial and secured in rotation with at least one gauge wheel 5 having a running radius which is smaller than the radius of the periphery of the weighting wheel 4, the gauge wheel 5 being a wheel with a deformable peripheral coating such as a low-pressure tyre 13.
