PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cross bar member for a folding type wheelchair, which adjusts a seat width and a seat surface height.SOLUTION: The cross bar member (100) includes bars (101, 102). The bars (101, 102) include: first rods (110, 130) where first long holes (113, 133) and a plurality of first adjustment holes (114, 134) are arrayed in the longitudinal direction and second rods (120, 140) where second long holes (123, 143) and a plurality of second adjustment holes (124, 144) are arrayed in the longitudinal direction. The first adjustment holes and the second adjustment holes corresponding to the first adjustment holes are made coincident with each other and the lengths of the bars can be adjusted. The intersection angle of the bars are fixed by a center shaft (151) which can penetrate the long holes while the respective long holes are partially mutually superimposed and a fastening tool (151a) to fasten the two bars by engagement with the center shaft.
