PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus and a method that enable the safe and simplified preparation of a pharmaceutical such as mitomycin-C for transient application of the pharmaceutical.SOLUTION: An apparatus for preparing a pharmaceutical for transient application comprises: a tray 16 having a sealed compartment； a vial 10 of an ophthalmic formulation of mitomycin-C； a diluent carrier 14 containing sterilized water； and a syringe that are all contained together in a single package. The component parts of the apparatus are used together to reconstitute the contents of the vial with the water in the diluent carrier, and then draw the reconstituted pharmaceutical into the sealed compartment of the tray by a suction force produced by the syringe. In the tray compartment, the reconstituted pharmaceutical is absorbed in an absorbent pad. The tray is opened to remove the pad and the absorbed pharmaceutical from the tray compartment for use of the pad in transient application of the pharmaceutical.【課題】薬剤の一時的な適用のためにマイトマイシン－Ｃといった薬剤を安全且つ簡単に調合し得る器具及び方法を提供する。【解決手段】一時的な適用のための薬剤を調合するための器具が、密閉区画を有するトレイ１６と、マイトマイシン－Ｃの眼科用調合物の小瓶１０と、滅菌水を収容する希釈キャリア１４と、注射器とを有しており、それら全てが１つのパッケージの中に一緒に収容されている。本器具の構成パーツは一緒に使用され、滅菌水で小瓶の内容物を再構成し、その後、注射器によって与えられる吸引力によって再構成した薬剤をトレイの密閉区画の中に引き入れる。トレイの区画では、再構成した薬剤が吸収パッドの中に吸収される。薬剤の一時的な適用におけるパッドの使用のために、このトレイを開けてトレイの区画からパッド及び吸収された薬剤を取り除く。【選択図】図１
