The cartridge (110) assembly includes a pusher assembly (530) and a knife assembly (400). The pusher assembly (530) is movable to cause staples to be ejected from the cartridge assembly (110). The knife assembly (400) is selectively movable relative to the pusher assembly (530) to distally translate a knife. A knife carrier (420) of the knife assembly (400) includes at least one latch (426) thereon. The at least one latch (426) is configured to contact an engagement surface (550) of the pusher assembly (530) in response to movement between the knife carrier (420) and the pusher assembly (530).
