Absorbent articles having an absorbent core 17 disposed between a topsheet and a backsheet, the core containing channels 26 to manage fluid flow, and a printed layer of visible adhesive disposed between the topsheet and the absorbent core. A wicking acquisition layer may be disposed between the top sheet and the absorbent core. The visible adhesive may be printed onto the acquisition layer in a design (such as in figures 17A-17C) which reflects the channels in the core. Matching graphics may also be printed on the backsheet. The topsheet may be embossed.
