A cleaning system for a crop harvesting vehicle, such as a sugar cane harvester, having a blower system, an extraction system a separation system; and a conveyor system. The blower system preferably directs a stream of air towards the separation system and the separation system is preferably configured to receive harvested material in the stream of air and separate an extraneous portion of that material to the extraction system and a desirable portion of that material to the conveyor system.
