The imaging unit has a live view function to perform continuous display on the display unit, of fundus images imaged by the imaging device, and switches a display of an image on the display unit by the live view function between a normal display and a display in which the normal display is vertically and horizontally inverted, in accordance with information regarding the imaging optical system.
