PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a monitoring device for collecting and inspecting a prescribed substance contained in a body fluid without puncture.SOLUTION: A monitoring device 1 comprises: a sampling part 10 for sampling a prescribed substance contained in a body fluid from an organism B； and an inspection part 20 for inspecting the prescribed substance sampled by the sampling part 10. The sampling part 10 executes a cycle multiple times, which includes: a first period during which electric current flows in a first direction in which the prescribed substance is captured by a first electrolyte gel G1； a second period during which no electric current flows； and a third period during which the electric current flows in a second direction that is the opposite direction of the first direction so that at least a portion of the prescribed substance captured by the first electrolyte gel G1 is returned to the organism B.
