The invention provides application of a triterpenoidsaponin compound to preparing an antihypertensive drug, wherein the triterpenoidsaponin compound is shown in the following chemical general formula in the specification, any two of R1, R2 and R3 are methyl and another one is a hydrogen atom R4 is five-membered cyclic or hexatomic cyclic monosaccharide or disaccharide formed by the five-membered cyclic or hexatomic cyclic monosaccharide or glycosyl formed by aldehyde acid derivatives of the monosaccharide or the disaccharide and R5 is a hydrogen atom, or five-membered cyclic or hexatomic cyclic monosaccharide or disaccharide formed by the five-membrane cyclic or hexatomic cyclic monosaccharide or substituent formed by the aldehyde acid derivatives of the monosaccharide or the disaccharide. According to the invention, the antihypertensive drug is provided from the anti-inflammatory aspect.
