PURPOSE: A method for treating shellfish waste is provided to recycle the shellfish waste as livestock feed additives and fertilizers by thermally treating and alkalizing the shellfish waste.CONSTITUTION: Shellfish waste is collected and washed. The washed shellfish waste is plasticized at a temperature between 600 and 700 degrees Celsius and is alkalized. The plasticized shellfish waste is ground. The ground shellfish is pulverized into a powder form. The shellfish is selected from a group including sea fish, fresh water fish, echinoderm, crustacean, and mollusks. The pH value of the alkalized shellfish waste is between 10 and 12.
