PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ophthalmic apparatus having a high degree of freedom in the posture of an examiner, excellent in visibility of a monitor unit and operability of an operation unit, and having a simple configuration. SOLUTION: A monitor unit 10 having an ophthalmic apparatus main body H for performing an examination while observing an eye image of a subject through an optical system and a display surface 10a capable of presenting at least the eye image to be examined. And an operation unit 40 having an operation lever 43 as an operation unit for operating the ophthalmic apparatus main body H. The monitor unit 10 is provided so that its posture can be freely changed with respect to the ophthalmic apparatus main body H. The operation unit 40 is provided so as to be movable in a direction in which the display surface 10a of the monitor unit 10 faces in response to a change in the posture of the monitor unit 10.
