This ligament fixation method comprises: forming a bone hole having a certain non-circular cross-section from the surface of a bone to a depth reaching the cancellous bone (S1)； mounting a ligament or traction member to a mounting area of this ligament fixation instrument (S2)； inserting the ligament fixation instrument into the bone hole while having an axial line of the ligament fixation instrument aligned with the axis of the bone hole (S5), the ligament fixation instrument being configured to have a wide breadth area having a width dimension smaller than the maximum internal dimension of the cross-section of the bone hole but greater than the minimum internal dimension thereof； rotating the ligament fixation instrument about the axial line when the ligament fixation instrument is positioned in the cancellous bone (S6)； and causing the wide breadth area to be positioned at the location of the minimum internal dimension of the bone hole (S7).La présente invention concerne un procédé de fixation de ligament consistant : à former un orifice osseux ayant une certaine coupe transversale non circulaire depuis la surface d'un os vers une profondeur atteignant l'os spongieux (S1)； à monter un ligament ou un élément de traction sur une zone de montage de cet instrument de fixation de ligament (S2)； à insérer l'instrument de fixation de ligament dans l'orifice osseux tout en ayant une ligne axiale de l'instrument de fixation de ligament alignée sur l'axe de l'orifice osseux (S5), l'instrument de fixation de ligament étant conçu afin d'avoir une zone de largeur étendue ayant une dimension de largeur inférieure à la dimension interne maximale de la coupe transversale de l'orifice osseux mais supérieure à sa dimension interne minimale； à faire tourner l'instrument de fixation de ligament autour de la ligne axiale lorsque l'instrument de fixation de ligament est positionné dans l'os spongieux (S6)； et à amener la zone de largeur étendue à être positionnée à l'emplacement de la
