Methods are disclosed for inhibiting the development of a tumor in a subject. The methods include administering to a subject a therapeutically effective amount of a dominant negative tumor necrosis factor (DN-TNF)-α protein and/or a nucleic acid encoding the DN-TNF-α protein. The DN-TNF-a protein and/or a nucleic acid encoding the DN-TNF-α protein can be administered alone or in combination with other agents.Linvention concerne des méthodes pour inhiber le développement dune tumeur chez un sujet. Les méthodes consistent à administrer à un sujet une quantité thérapeutiquement efficace de la protéine du facteur de nécrose tumorale à effet dominant négatif (DN-TNF)-alpha et/ou dun acide nucléique codant la protéine DN-TNF-alpha. La protéine DN-TNF-alpha et/ou un acide nucléique codant celle-ci peuvent être administrés seuls ou en combinaison avec dautres agents.
