PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an adhesive composition for application to skin, enabling a liquid to be absorbed rapidly at normal temperature, having an excellent liquid-retaining rate, and exhibiting excellent adhesiveness to the skin.SOLUTION: The adhesive composition for application to skin includes 30-200 pts.mass of a thermoplastic resin based on 100 pts.mass of a water-absorbing modified product of a polyalkylene oxide. The skin cataplasm is obtained by forming the composition into a sheet shape. For example, the water-absorbing modified product of the polyalkylene oxide is the one obtained by reacting a polyalkylene oxide compound and a diol compound with a diisocyanate compound.
