HERBAL SUPPLEMENT FROM ALTERNANTHERA SESSILIS FOR PREVENTION AND TREATMENT OF ANEMIA AND OTHER HEMATOLOGIC DISORDERS, AND PROCESS FOR THE PREPARATION THEREOF
The present utility model provides a process for producing a herbal supplement from Alternanthera sessilis, locally known as Lupo, a weed widely found in open, usually wet places at low and medium altitudes throughout the Philippines, in southern and eastern Asia, Australia and in tropical Africa. The natural product from Alternanthera sessilis can be used as nutritional supplement preparations for its beneficial effects in prevention and treatment of anemia and other hematologic disorders, such as abnormal amounts of hemoglobin, red blood cells, platelets and white blood cells and related liver and kidney disorders.
