A method of reducing the frequency of urination, comprising: administering to a subject in need of a pharmaceutical composition comprising: one or more analgesics iodine or more additional active ingredients selected from the group consisting of α-blockers and 5α-reductase inhibitors. 2. The method of claim 1, wherein said one or more analgesic agents and said one or more additional active ingredients are formulated for immediate release. A method according to claim 1, wherein said one or more analgesic agents and said one or more additional active ingredients are formulated for delayed release. The method of claim 1, wherein said one or more analgesic agents and said one or more additional active ingredients are formulated for sustained release. The method of claim 4, wherein said one or more analgesic agents are administered in an amount of 50-400 mg per agent, wherein said one or more analgesic agents are selected from the group consisting of aspirin, ibuprofen, naproxen, naproxen sodium, indomethacin, nabumetone and acetaminophen and wherein said pharmaceutical composition is formulated for sustained release, so that said one or more analgesic agents and said one or more additional active ingredients are released continuously over a period of a period of 5-24 hours. 6. The method of claim 5, wherein said one or more additional active ingredients comprise tamsulosin. The method of claim 5, wherein said one or more additional active ingredients comprise finasteride.
