PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an absorbent article which prevents the occurrence of creases by preventing a curve occurring at a crotch section from affecting backward while wearing and makes a body liquid absorbed by the crotch section to move backward.
SOLUTION: A napkin 1 having a substantially longitudinal shape comprises a liquid-permeable surface sheet 2, a liquid-impermeable rear sheet 3, and a liquid holding absorbing medium 4 sandwiched between both the sheets. The absorbing medium 4 comprises a front absorbing medium 41 and a rear absorbing medium 42. Side sections 41B and 41B located on the rear part of the front absorbing medium 41 extend rearward of a middle section 41A, and a middle section 42A of the rear absorbing medium 42 extends forward of side sections 42B and 42B. The middle section 41A located on the rear part of the front absorbing medium 41 overlaps the middle section 42A located on the front part of the rear absorbing medium.
