The present invention concerns a process of production of chlorine dioxide comprising the following steps: producing sodium hypochlorite by electro-chlorination, producing chlorine from an acid and sodium hypochlorite obtained through the preceding step, producing chlorine dioxide from chlorine obtained by the previous steps and sodium chlorite.
