A skin cleansing composition, comprising the following components (A), (B), and (C): (A) an alkyl ether carboxylic acid represented by the formula (1): wherein, R 1 represents an alkyl group having 4 to 22 carbon atoms and n represents a number of from 0 to 20, wherein, R 1 has an average carbon number of from 10.8 to 12.8 and the alkyl ether carboxylic acid contains a component in which n = 0 in an amount of from 4.3 to 30% by mass, and a component in which n = 1 and a component in which n = 2 in a total amount of 20% by mass or more and less than 40% by mass, (B) a fatty acid represented by the formula (2): wherein, R 2 represents a linear or branched alkyl group or alkenyl group having 9 to 21 carbon atoms, and (C) a neutralizer, wherein the total content of the components (A) and (B) is from 20 to 50% by mass, a degree of neutralization of the components (A) and (B) is from 0.6 to 0.9, and a viscosity at 30°C is from 10 to 50000 dPa·s. €ƒ€ƒ€ƒ€ƒ€ƒ€ƒ€ƒ€ƒR 1 -O-(CH 2 CH 2 O) n -CH 2 -COOH€ƒ€ƒ€ƒ€ƒ€ƒ(1) €ƒ€ƒ€ƒ€ƒ€ƒ€ƒ€ƒ€ƒR 2 -COOH€ƒ€ƒ€ƒ€ƒ€ƒ(2)
