PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a puncture adapter for which reduction of the outer dimensions and facilitation of removal operation from an ultrasonic probe are implemented.SOLUTION: A puncture adapter 200 comprises a guide part 312 for a puncture needle, retaining parts 321a, 321b for retaining an ultrasonic probe, and pinches 330, 340. The retaining parts 321a, 321b hold an ultrasonic probe. The puncture adapter 200 is mounted to the ultrasonic probe by the engagement of the retaining parts 321a, 321b and the ultrasonic probe with each other. The pinches 330, 340 are used for releasing the holding of the ultrasonic probe.
