PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a combine harvester which can be made compact without enlarging the transverse width dimensions of an engine 20 and its peripheral structure, although an exhaust gas purifying case 50 is arranged at a position as close to the engine 20 as possible.SOLUTION: The combine harvester comprises: a clipper 3 for clipping the unreaped grain culm in the farm field； a thresher 5 for threshing the reaped grain culm reaped by the clipper 3； a traveling machine body 1 mounted with the clipper 3 and the thresher 5； an engine 20 arranged in an engine room 43 over the traveling machine body 1； and an exhaust gas purification case 50 arranged in the exhaust system of the engine 20.
