The invention provides a device (1) for cultivating turf. The device (1) comprises a mobile frame (2) and a rotor element (11) which can be rotatably driven in a direction of rotation (12) about a horizontal axis (13) relative to the frame (2). The rotor element (11) is provided with a tubular shaft body (21), with cultivation means on the outer side of the shaft body (21), and with connecting means via which the cultivation elements (24) are connected to the shaft body (21). The device (1) further comprises vertical adjustment means for positioning the central axis of the shaft body (21) at an adjustable height. The cultivation elements (24) each have at least one cutting edge (30) with a working width (b), which cutting edge (30) extends parallel to the central axis of the shaft body (21). The connecting means comprise a support body (25) connected to the shaft body (21) for each cultivation element (24), which support body (25) has a supporting surface (26) that extends parallel to the central axis of the shaft body (21), against which the associated cultivation element (24) abuts with an abutment surface (27) thereof.
