The pricking aid has a housing in which a needle system is partially inserted and retained in a defined position by a holding element, an opening provided in the housing for passage of the needle point during puncturing of the skin upon displacement of the needle via a drive mechanism. The needle body has a blocking mechanism cooperating with the pricking aid for altering the needle body upon removal from the pricking aid for preventing re-use.
