PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid oral composition which can obtain sufficiently the preventive effect on dental caries and the prophylaxis effect on a periodontal diseases, without using together with a cationic bactericide.

SOLUTION: The liquid oral composition is made to include a specified amount of a xanthan gum and of a mannan derivative in a specific ratio to thereby prevent effectively the deposition of mouth bacteria on the surfaces of teeth and of periodontal tissues and to thereby prevent the formation of dental plaques, subsequently permitting the prevention of dental caries and periodontal diseases, and furthermore is made to blend an inorganic electrolyte to thereby improve excellently the liquid properties.
