A vision tester comprising a touch screen display and user input associated with said display and configured to allow a user to switch the operations of said vision tester, using said touch screen display to present different forms to said user for testing vision, to provide presentation of said different forms in different locations and orientations and with different modulations on said touch screen display and providing said user w to select one of these different form.2. The vision tester according to claim 1, wherein said user input is further configured to determine a modulation threshold level of said various forms and to determine the consistency of said responses. The vision tester according to claim 2, in which the modulation level of said modulated form is gradually reduced in the corresponding subsequent test tasks until the user incorrectly determines the specified modulated form. The vision tester according to claim 3, in which the specified modulation level of the specified modulated shape in one of the following test tasks, when the user incorrectly determines the modulated shape, will gradually increase until the user determines the correct modulated shape, and then will gradually decrease until the user is again incorrect determine the specified modulated shape, a gradual increase and a gradual decrease in the specified modulation level will be repeated. 5.
