A capsule-medical-device dedicated power source starter 7 is provided with an insertion part 7a that is formed in a direction of a central axis L and to which a capsule medical device 2 is inserted so that a longitudinal axis direction of the capsule medical device 2 is along the direction of the central axis L and magnets 71a and 71b that generate magnetic force lines B1 to B3 which are substantially symmetric about the central axis L as an axis of symmetry in any planar surfaces including the central axis L of the insertion part 7a. With this configuration, it becomes not necessary to adjust a position of the magnets 71a and 71b and a position of a reed switch 2a substantially within the same planar surface in applying a magnetic field to the reed switch 2a and thereby is possible to easily apply a magnetic field to the reed switch 2a.
