A method of fabricating ultrasound bone phantom material compatible with magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) is provided. The bone phantom material has ultrasound and physical parameters that are characteristic of human cortical and trabecular bones, and is well suited for the fabrication of bone phantoms intended for the development and testing of ultrasound medical diagnostic imaging techniques as well as high-intensity focused ultrasound (HIFU) therapy methods and other MRI imaging applications.Linvention concerne un procédé de fabrication dun matériau osseux fantôme pour les ultrasons compatible avec limagerie par résonance magnétique (IRM). Ce matériau osseux fantôme présente des paramètres ultrasonores et physiques qui sont caractéristiques des os corticaux et trabéculaires, et est bien adapté à la fabrication de fantômes osseux destinés au développement et à lessai de techniques dimagerie diagnostique médicale par ultrasons, ainsi que de méthodes thérapeutiques utilisant des ultrasons focalisés à haute intensité (HIFU) et dautres applications dimagerie IRM.
