PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an absorbent auxiliary pad at low costs which can appropriately prevent leakage of loose passage.SOLUTION: An absorbent auxiliary pad 1 is arranged in an absorbent article. The absorbent auxiliary pad 1 has a columnar shape having flexibility. The absorbent auxiliary pad 1 is divided into flap parts 30 positioned at both ends in a longitudinal direction and an absorbent body 20 positioned between the flap parts 30. The absorbent body 20 has: an absorber 21 extending along a longitudinal direction of the absorbent auxiliary pad 1； and a liquid-permeable surface material 22 covering the absorber. The flap parts 30 are composed only of the surface materials 22 and are closed in a flat-shape by internal surfaces' being bonded, have first fixing means 31 to be fixed to the absorbent article on the surfaces.
