PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a non-foaming hair spray composition, which is not sticky even immediately after application to the hair, providing no massive feeling, providing natural gloss, being applied uniformly, and providing smooth finger passing while having abilities of setting a hair style and keeping the hair style.SOLUTION: According to the present invention, there is provided a non-foaming hair spray composition comprising a hairdressing stock solution and a propellant. The hairdressing stock solution comprises: (A) 1 to 70% by mass of methylal and (B) 0.1 to 20% by mass of a film-forming resin in 100% by mass of a hairdressing stock solution.
