A segmented fishing device 100 captures multiple lobsters and fishes, and includes rectangular shaped frames 101 attached to define a shape of a staircase. An upper frame 101a comprises a first net 102 configured to capture the lobsters and fishes. Each frame 101b below the upper frame 101a comprises multiple grids 103 configured to trap the lobsters. A second net 104 is attached to the frames 101b below the upper frame 101a, and in communication with the first net 102, and configured to capture the lobsters which are trapped on the grids 103 of each frame 101b below the upper frame 101a. A masking element 105 attachable between the first net 102 and the second net 104, comprising larger openings and smaller openings extending across the nets 102 and 104 to sort and capture the lobsters in the second net 104.
