PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an insect trap from which an insect can hardly escape.SOLUTION: The insect trap has a lid body 20 for closing a container body 10 that can scoop an insect M to put in. The container body 10 includes: a bottom plate part 11 that has a scooping side 11a for scooping the insect M into the container body 10； a peripheral wall part 12 that rises from edges other than the scooping side 11a of the bottom plate part 11； and a handle part 14 that extends from the peripheral wall part 12 in a direction opposite from the scooping side 11a direction. The lid body 20 includes: a top plate part 21 that closes the top of the container body 10 so as to hold the insect M captured inside the container body 10； and a knob part 24 that extends in an opposing manner to the handle part 14 from the top plate part 21 in the same direction as the handle part 14.
