Abstract The invention relates to polymeric high viscosity liquid carrier materials (HVLCMs), in particular esterified polysaccharides, compositions comprising these HVLCMs, coatings for implants which are based on these HVLCMs, methods of their production and their use in delivering substances, including drugs and bioactive agents, systemically to a body as a sustained release device, or locally, as employed in bone tissue engineering and other applications.La présente invention concerne des matériaux polymères de support de liquide de haute viscosité (HVLCM), en particulier des polysaccharides estérifiés, des compositions comprenant ces matériaux HVLCM, des revêtements pour implants qui sont basés sur ces matériaux HVLCM, leurs procédés de production et leur utilisation dans ladministration de substances, y compris des médicaments et des agents bioactifs, par voie systémique à un organisme sous forme dun dispositif à libération prolongée, ou localement, tel quutilisé dans lingénierie tissulaire osseuse et dautres applications.
