A method for preparing an antimicrobial alcoholic foam composition by combining two or more pre-mix compositions. A first pre-mix composition is primarily alcoholic comprises an alcohol, an acidic component, and a waxy component. A second pre-mix composition is primarily aqueous comprises water and a carbonate.
