PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a grip for a fishing rod in which the adhesion condition between a core material and a coating material of the core material is stable, the grip itself is reduced in weight, and the variation of the coating of a grip surface is widened by devising the core material and the coating material thereof.SOLUTION: The grip for the fishing rod includes the resin-made core material 3 arranged in the innermost side, and an outside grip layer, outside the core material 3, formed by winding a tape 4 made of fiber-reinforced resin on an outer peripheral surface of the core material, the fiber-reinforced resin obtained by impregnating matrix resin to reinforced fibers.
