PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thin and small absorbent sheet which keeps high absorbing capability by supporting a superabsorbent polymer in high density.
SOLUTION: The absorbent sheet 10 includes a highly absorbent body 30 having a pulp layer 13 containing a pulp 21 and a highly water absorbent layer 14 which is disposed on one surface side of the pulp layer 13 and contains the particulate superabsorbent polymer 22, a non-woven fabric sheet 11 which is disposed in a manner to cover a surface on the side of the highly water absorbent layer 14 of the highly absorbent body 30 and comprises a thermoplastic resin a part of which is subjected to hydrophilic processing, and a liquid permeable sheet 12 disposed to cover a surface on the side of the pulp layer 13 of the highly absorbent body 30. In the absorbent sheet 10, the non-woven fabric sheet 11 and the highly water absorbent layer 14 are thermally fused.
