PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an implant material, coupled to bio tissue in a short time even when the implant material is mainly constituted of ceramics.
SOLUTION: This implant material 1 includes: a base material 3 that includes, as a main component, a partially stabilized zirconia having an average crystal particle diameter of 0.3 &mum or less and a porous covering layer 5 that includes ceramic as a main component and has a center pore diameter within a range of 10-100 &mum, wherein the covering layer 5 includes 5-10 wt.% calcium.
