PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for predicting the therapeutic effect of the I-type IFN therapy by identifying an IFN response-associated gene for predicting therapeutic effect of a patient in the I-type interferon (IFN) therapy, and analyzing the gene of the patient.SOLUTION: A reagent for predicting sensitivity to the therapy with the I-type IFN, contains a polynucleotide capable of detecting specific gene polymorphism presenting in a gene region of GALNT8-NDUFA9 and gene polymorphism having relation of linkage disequilibrium with the polymorphism. The method for predicting sensitivity to the I-type IFN therapy uses the polymorphism of the gene of a subject, and the expression of GALNT8 or activity as an index. A screening method for I-type IFN action enhancer uses the expression of GALNT8 gene or control on activity as an index.【課題】I型インターフェロン（IFN）療法における患者の治療効果を予測するためのIFN応答性関連遺伝子を同定し、患者の当該遺伝子を解析することによるI型IFN療法の治療効果の予測方法を提供すること。【解決手段】GALNT8-NDUFA9遺伝子領域に存在する特定の遺伝子多型、および該多型と連鎖不平衡の関係にある遺伝子多型を検出し得るポリヌクレオチドを含有する、I型IFNによる治療に対する感受性予測用試薬。被験者における当該遺伝子多型、GALNT8の発現量もしくは活性を指標とする、I型IFNによる治療に対する感受性予測方法。GALNT8遺伝子の発現もしくは活性の抑制を指標とする、I型インターフェロン作用増強剤のスクリーニング方法。【選択図】なし
