A work vehicle (100) includes a frame structure (110) and a plurality of row units (119) with a row unit (119, 121, 123, 125) support structure (129) attached to the frame structure (110). The row units (119) also include a meter housing (146) with a housing member (148) and a removable cover (149). The housing member (148) is attached to the row unit (119, 121, 123, 125) support structure (129) and houses a metering element (166). The metering element (166) is configured to singulate a commodity and meter the commodity from the meter housing (146). The row unit (119, 121, 123, 125) further includes an air pressure device (133) configured to generate an air pressure differential across the metering element (166) to retain the commodity on the metering element (166). The air pressure device (133) is fixed relative to the row unit (119, 121, 123, 125) support structure (129). The air pressure device (133) is configured to remain fixed relative to the row unit (119, 121, 123, 125) support structure (129) as the cover (149) is removed and reattached.
